# Terms and Conditions Last Updated: April 2, 2025 1. Introduction Welcome to Travelscope, a mobile travel guide that uses AI to help you discover the stories behind places you visit. These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access and use of the Travelscope application and its services (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using Travelscope, you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms. License Grant & Use Restrictions Limited License Travelscope grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended purpose on a personal device, for non-commercial and personal use only. You agree not to: • Modify, reverse engineer, or copy the App or its content. • Distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App. • Upload any content that is unlawful, harmful, or violates others’ rights. • Disrupt or interfere with the App or its backend services. • Use the App to collect data from others. • Use the App in violation of applicable laws. Intellectual Property All rights in the App, including design, features, text, graphics, images, audio, and logos (“Materials”), are owned by or licensed to Travelscope. These Materials are protected under copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws. You may use the App and its content only for personal, non-commercial use. User-Uploaded Content Travelscope allows you to capture photos to receive a location-based guide. You retain all rights to your photos. We do not store or access your photos beyond temporary processing during the guide generation. By using the App, you confirm that: • You have the right to capture the photo. • Your photo does not violate anyone’s rights or applicable law. • You agree not to upload photos containing violence, nudity, or offensive content. Saved History & User Rights The App provides the option to save past scans (including location, date, generated text, and audio) locally on your device for your convenience. You retain full ownership and control over this saved data. We do not have access to it. At any time, you may: • View or replay your saved history from the History section. • Delete individual entries or all history via the app interface. • Manage your saved data directly on your device. Generated Content Travelscope uses AI to create descriptive stories about historical places. You acknowledge that: • The generated stories may contain creative or fictional elements. • The App is for informational and entertainment purposes only, and we encourage users to verify facts if needed. • No guarantees are made regarding accuracy or completeness of content. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, Travelscope is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.
