the stories behind places you visit. Protecting your privacy is a priority for
us at Travelscope (“we”, “us”, or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how we
collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our app.



By using Travelscope, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy
Policy. We comply with applicable data protection laws and collect only the
information necessary to provide and improve our services.



2. Information We Collect



We do not require registration or personal identification to use the app.



Data You Provide



• Captured Photos: When you take a photo to identify a place, the image is
processed on your device and temporarily sent to the OpenAI API for recognition
and narration. We do not store or access your photos. All processing is
transient, and images are deleted immediately after the generation is complete.



Automatically Collected Data



We collect only essential technical data to improve app performance and enable
functionality. This includes:



• Precise Location – used to show relevant historical information based on your
current city. Location data is not stored or linked to your identity.

• Device ID – collected by Firebase to monitor app usage and technical
performance (e.g., crash reporting).

• Product Interaction – includes anonymized information about how users interact
with features, used to improve functionality and design.

• Diagnostics – crash reports and performance metrics via Firebase (e.g., load
times, stability).



This data is anonymized, not linked to your identity, and not used for
advertising.



Analytics



We use Firebase Analytics (by Google LLC) and AppsFlyer (by AppsFlyer Ltd.) to
understand user behavior, improve our app, and attribute app installs for
marketing purposes.



These analytics providers may collect technical and usage information,
including:

 * Device and advertising identifiers (such as IDFA or GAID)

 * Device information (e.g., OS version, device type)

 * IP address (for attribution and fraud prevention)

 * Product interactions (anonymized usage data)

 * Events related to app installs and launches

• We do not use your photos or content to train AI models.

• All communication with external services is encrypted (e.g., via HTTPS).

• Photos and audio are processed only on your device, unless temporarily needed
for generation purposes.



4. Data Use



We use the collected information solely to:

• Generate audio and text stories based on your photo and location.

• Improve app performance through aggregated, anonymized analytics.



5. Data Control and Retention



You stay in full control of your data:

• Temporary Processing Only: Photos and audio fragments are processed
temporarily and deleted once generation is complete.

• Local Storage: All generated photos, text, and audio are stored only on your
device.

• Manual Deletion: You can delete your saved scans at any time in the app’s
history section.



6. Your Rights



Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access data we store (although we do not retain personal data).

• Delete stored content (locally on your device).

• Withdraw consent.



As we do not store your data on external servers, most control remains in your
hands via app settings.



7. Children’s Privacy



Travelscope is rated 4+ on the App Store and may be used by children. We do not
knowingly collect any personal data from children. If a parent or guardian
believes their child has shared personal data, please contact us so we can take
appropriate action.



8. Changes to This Policy



We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will
always be available in the app. We encourage you to review it periodically.
